❓ FAQ
Percentage = (Part ÷ Whole) × 100. For example, 30 out of 200 = (30 ÷ 200) × 100 = 15%.
Percentage increase = ((New Value - Old Value) / Old Value) × 100. Example: from 80 to 100 = ((100-80)/80) × 100 = 25% increase.
$50 × 20% = $10 discount. Final price = $50 - $10 = $40. Or directly: $50 × (1 - 0.20) = $40.
Original Price = Final Price ÷ (1 - Discount%). Example: paid $80 after 20% off → $80 ÷ 0.80 = $100 original price.
Percentage (%) is a relative measure. Percentage points (%p) is the absolute difference. If interest rises from 3% to 4%, that's 1 percentage point increase but a 33.3% relative increase.
